Corinthians begins removing seats from the south sector of the Arena
Corinthians began, this Friday, removing the chairs from the south sector of the Neo Química Arena. The measure, requested through a permit in March, is the first step towards expanding the capacity of the Timão stadium.
The initiative aims to improve the fan experience, which has required broader sectors since the opening of the Arena in 2013.
The project was approved by the São Paulo Military Police Security Report. However, the capacity of the southern sector will be maintained at this time, with space for 7,406 fans.
"We are aware of the importance of respecting all regulatory steps and, therefore, Corinthians remains engaged in carrying out all procedures, inspections, surveys seeking approval for increased capacity", wrote the club in an official note.
"We thank everyone involved in this process and, above all, every Corinthians fan who follows and strengthens our journey. We continue together, confident and determined to make the Neo Química Arena a space that is increasingly worthy of the greatness of our club", he added.
