Corinthians beats UDA in a match of the Brazilian Under-17 Women's Championship

Corinthians achieved another victory in the Brazilian Under-17 Women's Championship this Sunday. Playing at Fazendinha, the Brabinhas defeated UDA 3-2, in a duel valid for the third round of the national competition. The triumph was built on a comeback, with two goals scored by Letícia and another scored by Glória Lira.
For the confrontation, coach Igor Freire sent the following formation to the field: Carol Paiva; Kay, Lari Horn and Gimenez; Carol Melo, Elohá, Isa Soares, Natália and Pepê; Glória Lira and Letícia. As options on the reserve bench, Corinthians had Maryah, Laryssa Lorrane, Sophia Ferreira, Daphiny, Hari, Kath, Manu, Romero, Lara Mel, Larissa Alencar and Mariela.

The team from Alagoas started the match with Marina Fragoso, Marina Fernandes, Kimberlly, Ana Maria, Alice, Shayla, Deborah, Jheniffer, Melissa, Olga and Maíra.
The start of the game was difficult for the home team. UDA took advantage of the spaces they found and quickly opened up the lead, reaching 2-0 before the opening ten minutes.
After the scare, Corinthians managed to reorganize itself and began to control offensive actions. With greater possession of the ball and constant presence in the attacking field, the Brabinhas pressed in search of a reaction. In the 22nd minute, Letícia took advantage of the opportunity and reduced the difference on the scoreboard.
Even with the black and white growth and territorial dominance during much of the initial stage, the score remained in favor of the visiting team until the half-time whistle.
On their way back from the changing rooms, Corinthians maintained the intensity shown at the end of the first half and took control of the match once and for all. The insistence was rewarded with the equalizer scored by Glória Lira.
Shortly afterwards, Letícia returned decisively and found the net once again, guaranteeing Corinthians' comeback and confirming the positive result by 3-2 in front of the fans present at Parque São Jorge.
With the triumph, Timão isolated itself at the top of Group A. Before the round, Corinthians and UDA were tied in points, but the São Paulo team occupied first place according to the tiebreaker criteria. Now, open up an advantage at the top of the table.
In addition to the leadership, the Brabinhas continue with a perfect campaign in the tournament. There are three wins in three matches played, maintaining 100% success in this first phase.
The next commitment of Igor Freire's men will be again against the UDA. The meeting is scheduled for next Sunday, the 21st, at 3pm, for the fourth round of the Under-17 Women's Brasileirão. The location of the match will still be defined by the competition organization.
