Corinthians beats Indaiatuba and records one of the best starts in Paulista Futsal in recent years

Corinthians maintained their unbeaten record in the Paulista Futsal Championship by beating Indaiatuba Futsal 3 x 1, last Wednesday night (4), at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, in a duel valid for the fifth round of the state competition. Timão's goals were scored by Maicon, twice, and Paiva.

With the result, the team led by Fernando Malafaia reached 13 points in five matches played, adding four wins and one draw. The campaign places Corinthians among the tournament leaders and represents one of the club's best starts in the State in recent years.

The black and white trajectory in the competition began with a 4 x 0 victory over Praia Grande, at Parque São Jorge. Afterwards, Timão beat Taubaté 5 x 0, also at home. In the third round, they beat Pulo Futsal 4 x 0, away from home. The only stumble came against Santo André, in a 1-1 draw. Now, the triumph over Indaiatuba extended the undefeated streak and took the club to 13 points.

The performance makes Corinthians record its second best campaign after five rounds since 2021. The mark is behind only the 2022 and 2025 seasons, when Alvinegro won the first five matches and reached the 15 possible points.

In addition to the expressive score, the result reinforces Corinthians strength acting in their domains. In recent seasons, the club has accumulated positive results in the classification phase of the Campeonato Paulista, transforming Ginásio Wlamir Marques into one of the team's main assets.

With one game less compared to some direct competitors, Corinthians remains firmly in the fight for the top positions in the table and maintains the expectation of fighting for leadership in the next rounds.

The victory over Indaiatuba confirms the team's good form at the start of the season and keeps Corinthians undefeated in the Paulista Futsal Championship.
