Sertãozinho Escalation

Sertãozinho, coached by Gustavo Marciano, went to the field with: Lucas Brito; Rodrigo, Emanuel, Luizão, Pedro Adão, Felipe Mian, Renan, Jota, Vitinho, Gabriel and Elder.

First half

The start of the match saw a greater offensive presence from Sertãozinho, which created the first opportunities of the match. In the opening minutes, Vitinho received a pass from Gabriel and finished wide. Shortly after, Gabriel started to scare again, but Pietro made a good save to avoid the visiting goal.

Corinthians' first response came with a free kick from Christian Oliveira, which was saved without difficulty by goalkeeper Lucas Brito. Little by little, Timão began to control more possession of the ball and balance offensive actions.

In the 11th minute, Wilker lifted the ball to Gustavo Correa, who headed it in. After a fight inside the area, the defense removed the danger. Then, Lorenzo Correa was also in danger after a corner kick, but finished over the crossbar.

Sertãozinho once again created good opportunities, mainly from dead balls. In a free kick raised to the area, Gabriel headed out after Pietro's mistaken clearance.

In the 31st minute, Gustavo Correa crossed from the left and Cristian attempted a bicycle kick inside the area, but sent it out.

The decisive move of the first stage came in the 41st minute. Luiz Eduardo finished and the ball hit the arm of an opposing defender. After scoring a maximum penalty, the number 10 himself took the penalty and dislodged the goalkeeper to open the scoring at Fazendinha.

In stoppage time, Corinthians suffered a serious setback. Pires stepped up in a tackle and received a straight red card, leaving Timão with one player less before the break.

Second half

Even with numerical inferiority, Corinthians returned organized for the final stage and managed to neutralize Sertãozinho's attacks during much of the second half.

Before the ball rolled, William Batista made two changes, placing João Vitor and José Antônio in the places of Wilker and Dodô.

The first big opportunity of the second half came just after 18 minutes, when Gabriel received the ball inside the area and finished, but the Corinthians defense blocked the attempt.

Two minutes later, Gabriel was scary again after exchanging passes with Jota, but finished wide.

Seeking to strengthen the defensive system, William Batista made a new change, with defender Paulão replacing Gustavo Correa.

At 22 minutes, the match scenario was once again balanced. João Vitor was heading towards the goal when he was brought down by Pedro Adão, who had already received a yellow card and was sent off after another warning.

With ten players on each side, Corinthians found space again. In the 40th minute, Cristian took a short corner and crossed for Paulão to head in from close range, forcing Lucas Brito to make a great save.

Afterwards, Cristian felt a physical problem and gave way to Ryan Evaristo.

In the final minutes, Sertãozinho tried to press in search of a draw, but found a defensively solid Corinthians, who managed the advantage until the final whistle and confirmed three more points in the Campeonato Paulista U20.
