First half

Corinthians started the match trying to control the actions through possession of the ball and the exchange of passes from the defensive field. With approximations between the sectors, William Batista's team tried to build the moves with patience and pressure Portuguesa Santista to leave.

The first black and white opportunity appeared after just two minutes, when Iago Machado advanced down the left side and found Pedro Thomas on the opposite side. The full-back tried to cross to Luiz Fábio, but the ball came out too hard.

Shortly later, in the fourth minute, Luiz Eduardo took a corner and almost scored an Olympic goal, but the ball went through the outside of the net.

Timãozinho continued with greater offensive presence and created good chances. In the seventh minute, Caraguá recovered the ball and launched Luiz Fábio, who received it on the right, cut inside and finished with strength. The shot hit Portuguesa Santista's crossbar.

The visiting team began to balance possession after the opening minutes, but found it difficult to overcome the Corinthians defense. In the 17th minute, Gabriel Máximo crossed into the area and Ruan Felipe tried to finish first time, but sent it over the goal saved by Nicollas Siqueira.

Corinthians responded quickly. Gustavo Correa made a play on the right and crossed to Guilherme Pires, who headed it wide. In the 19th minute, Pedro Thomas advanced and crossed for Bahia, who finished with a header. Goalkeeper Vitor Matias deflected the ball and the ball hit the crossbar again.

Despite territorial dominance, Timãozinho found it difficult to transform possession into clear chances. Portuguesa Santista got scared in the 31st minute, when Igor Oliveira received a throw and sent a cross, forcing Nicollas Siqueira to make a good save.

The match changed in first half stoppage time. In the 49th minute, Pedro Fontaroli committed a harsh foul on Gustavo Correa and received a straight red card, leaving Portuguesa Santista with one player less.

With numerical superiority, Corinthians took advantage quickly. In the 50th minute, Bahia raised the ball in the area, Iago Machado headed it and Levy Dias also headed the ball to open the scoring at Fazendinha.

Second half

When the break came around, William Batista made changes to take advantage of the space left by Portuguesa Santista with one less player. Gui Amorim and Pellegrin replaced Luiz Eduardo and Bahia.

Even with the advantage on the scoreboard and the number of players, Corinthians found it difficult to expand initially. The team continued to control the match, but made a mistake on the last pass.

The first good opportunity of the final stage came after eight minutes. Pellegrin advanced from the right and found Luiz Fábio inside the area. The attacker tried to finish, but the opposing defense managed to block it.

Portuguesa Santista also made changes to reorganize the team, but the scenario remained favorable to Corinthians, who continued to be present in the offensive field.

In the 15th minute, Gui Amorim took a free kick in the area and Yago Melo appeared to head it, but sent it out. At 20, William Batista changed the team again, placing Dodô, Joãozinho and Luiz Fernando in the places of Gustavo Correa, Levy Dias and Luiz Fábio.

The changes took effect shortly afterwards. In the 31st minute, Joãozinho crossed from the left and Guilherme Pires headed firmly, hitting the post.

In the next move, however, the second black and white goal came. Gui Amorim received the ball on the left and made a precise cross for Luiz Fernando, who headed the ball into the corner and extended Corinthians' lead to 2 x 0.

With the result in hand, William Batista also promoted the entry of Christian Oliveira and Nicolas Araújo. Corinthians managed the final minutes and confirmed three more points in the Paulista U20.
