Corinthians is close to concluding a new sponsorship agreement that could represent a significant increase in revenue for women's football, futsal and basketball. According to information released by Meu Timão, negotiations with the Fatal Fans platform have progressed in recent days and have already gone through different stages of internal evaluation at the club.

According to the investigation, the contract would last 12 months and would involve advertising spaces on the uniforms of the men's and women's football teams, in addition to indoor sports. The total value of the partnership would exceed R$17 million, with part of it going directly to strengthening women's football, futsal and basketball.

More than R$ 10 million would be directed to the three modalities this season. The amount would represent the largest investment obtained through a single sponsorship for these departments within Corinthians.

The negotiation underwent analyzes from different sectors of the club, including legal, commercial, administrative, marketing, land sports and social responsibility departments. The compliance sector also evaluated the contract and, according to the publication, did not point out any impediments to the continuation of negotiations, although it highlighted possible image risks related to the agreement.

Corinthians would also have held consultations with media professionals specializing in women's football, as well as movements and collectives linked to the sport. According to the portal, the responses received were in favor of continuing the conversations.

The director of women's football, Iris Sesso, and leaders of the Brabas squad were also informed about the project in a meeting held last week. According to Meu Timão, the group gave approval for negotiations to continue.

One of the main points discussed during the negotiations involves brand exposure. According to the investigation, Corinthians determined that Fatal Fans should not appear on women's football uniforms. Instead, the space would be used for educational and social campaigns throughout the term of the contract.

Among the topics foreseen for these actions would be raising awareness about sexually transmitted infections (STIs), combating harassment, combating discrimination and preventing domestic violence.

According to the portal, other demands were also presented by the club and accepted by the company. Among them are the prohibition of directly associating athletes with the platform, the veto of content that relates Corinthians to the eroticization or objectification of the body and the non-use of the brand in lower categories.

The company would also have agreed to reformulate its visual identity to adapt it to the parameters established by the club. Another point considered relevant in negotiations is the payment method. According to Meu Timão, Corinthians requested that more than 60% of the total value of the contract be transferred to the club in the first 90 days of the partnership, a condition that would have been accepted by Fatal Fans. According to the publication, only final adjustments remain before a possible formalization of the agreement.
