Coordinator details Corinthians' recruitment work in search of talent in Brazil and abroad

Corinthians continues to invest in strengthening the youth categories through extensive observation work and recruiting athletes. Currently, the department responsible for monitoring talent operates in different regions of Brazil and also in other countries, with the aim of identifying players who can join the club's youth teams.

Recently, observers linked to Corinthians were in countries such as Ecuador and Nigeria following potential athletes. In addition, the prospecting work also extends to several regions of the country, including the North and Northeast, expanding the scope of the search for new talent.

Observation and scout coordinator for Corinthians' youth categories, Crisleison Santos explained how the athlete identification process works and highlighted the importance of the work carried out by the department.

"I'm an observation and scout coordinator here at Corinthians in the youth categories and today we have a department focused on looking for talent in all parts of Brazil and outside Brazil. As an example, now we have observers in Ecuador, in Nigeria, recently we also went looking for players in the North, Northeast and, in itself, that's our job, it's to look for the talents that Corinthians needs to supply both our youth category and, if possible, our professional."

The coordinator also detailed the age groups supported by the club and explained when athletes can be incorporated into the training process within Parque São Jorge.

"We look for all age groups, right? From the age of 13, where we can already establish the first mapping of players. At 14 years old, we can already bring these players here to São Paulo, to be closer here, if possible with their families, right? Even our Under-20s. So this is the age group we have been looking for."

Finally, Crisleison reinforced that the main objective of recruiting is to increasingly qualify the Corinthian base squads, seeking athletes in different locations and profiles.

"We have tried to bring these players from different parts. We look for talent wherever we need it. We have tried to bring them here. The objective is to further qualify our squads here in the youth category."
