Confrontation in Paraisópolis leaves suspect shot; Eagle is triggered
The Military Police of the State of São Paulo carried out, on the night of this Monday (9), an action in Paraisópolis, in the south zone of the capital of São Paulo. The origin of the action has not yet been reported.
Residents told CNN Brasil that roads in the community began to be closed at around 9pm and shortly afterwards shots were heard.
"Whoever has to wake up at 5am should be left with this helicopter in the air at 11:49pm", commented a woman on social media. A video shows part of the confrontation; see:

According to information from the PM, there was an exchange of fire and teams from the Tactical Force and other units operated in the community. A man was shot and, with him, the police seized a 9mm caliber pistol with an elongated magazine, as well as backpacks, which according to the police were filled with drugs.
Images obtained by the report show structures used as barriers scattered in the middle of the community's streets. Still according to the corporation, there was a new exchange of gunfire during the action and a public bus ended up being hit by the shots.
Police officers stated that they also carried out actions to remove barricades placed in the streets to be set on fire and make it difficult for teams to advance.
Another report indicates that the Águia 24 helicopter remained flying over the region for hours during the night.
CNN Brasil tried to obtain information about the incident from the SSP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat), but received no response. The space remains open.
