Companion of woman found after disappearing at sea remains missing

The search for a man, identified as Dheoge Walker, who disappeared after a jet-ski ride in Ilhabela, on the north coast of São Paulo, continues. His companion, identified as Bruna, was found alive this Tuesday (26), near the coast of Búzios Island.

The couple was participating in a get-together on the beach together with a group of friends when, around 4pm last Sunday (24), they went for a ride on a watercraft, without informing a defined destination. Soon after, they were no longer seen.

From this, the corporation was called and search protocols were initiated. The firefighting teams, together with the PM's Águia Helicopter, managed to locate part of the jet-ski sunk in the water the following day, on Monday afternoon (25). This contributed to delimiting the search area more precisely.

However, Bruna was only located on Tuesday morning (26) between five and ten nautical miles off the coast of Búzios Island, around 18 km from the point where the couple had left. She was taken to Ilhabela Municipal Hospital, where she receives medical care.

Her companion is still missing, but the search for him continues. The Brazilian Navy assisted in the incident, together with Waterway Traffic Security and the Safeguard of Human Life at the Bar, together with the Fire Department.
