Coach of the Brazilian Women's National Team praises Corinthians stadium pitch

This Saturday night (6), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), the Brazilian Women's Team will face the United States, at the Neo Química Arena, in a friendly preparatory match for the 2027 Women's World Cup, which will take place precisely on Brazilian soil. In a press conference, Amarelinha's coach, Arthur Elias, commented on the possibility of the world cup debut being in Itaquera, a place that has been identified since the Corinthians days. In addition, he praised the Arena's lawn.
"I feel at home because of my history, but now I work for the Brazilian National Team. I think it's wherever the World Cup debut is, whether here in São Paulo, or in any other stadium, another arena. For me it will be a source of pride and a defining moment in my life to be able to lead Brazil in a World Cup and the day of the debut, without a doubt, will be an important day, regardless of the location."

"Here I see that it is a very good field to play football, regardless of the opponent, but the characteristics of playing football that I like. We also know that the fans like a fast game, the field here is very favorable for that. The acoustics of the stadium too, the atmosphere it creates, I really like and I see that the quality of the game always improves when we have a good pitch."
He continued by mentioning that, due to the quality of the surface, the match tends to be good for both teams: "A good stadium, the game will be better for both teams. Plus, two teams as good and well trained, with players who make a difference, who have a lot of technical quality like Brazil and the United States, so I'm sure that tomorrow whoever comes here will see a great game and whoever follows it on TV too."
In charge of the Brazilian Women's Team since 2023, Arthur Elias has been putting Brazil back at the top. In 2024, at the Paris Olympic Games, he won a silver medal. Last year, in turn, he won the Copa América commanding Amarelinha. For the friendly against the Americans, three Timão athletes were called up: goalkeeper Lelê, defender Thaís Ferreira and midfielder Duda Sampaio.
In charge of Corinthians, Arthur Elias was one of those responsible for taking the club to the top of Brazilian and international football. For Brabas, there were 256 wins, 44 draws and 24 defeats in 356 games - 84% success rate - 988 goals scored (3.05 per game) and 191 conceded (0.59 per game).
In total, he won the following titles: Copa do Brasil (2018), Campeonato Brasileiro (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023), Conmebol Libertadores (2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023), Paulistão (2019, 2020 and 2021), Supercopa do Brasil (2022 and 2023) and Copa Paulista (2022).
