CNN Talks debates the "New Era of Mining" this Tuesday (30)
CNN Talks, the debate events arm of CNN Brasil, discusses this Tuesday (30) the "New Era of Mining", at a time when Brazil is attracting the attention of the global critical minerals market.
Bringing together experts and authorities, this will be the event that will bring together the most C-level executives in the sector this year.
The mediation will be carried out by Daniel Rittner, director of Journalism at CNN Brasil in Brasília and editor-in-chief of CNN Infra.
In addition, the official opening of the event will be carried out by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, who will address the geopolitics, investments and energy transition behind this "New Era of Mining".
The event will then be divided into three thematic panels, which will discuss licenses for operations and the territories that transform the minerals sector; investment, decarbonization and regional development of sustainable mining; and the commitments that support the sector.
Among the panelists scheduled for the event are:
- Arnaldo Jardim (Cidadania-SP), federal deputy and rapporteur of the critical minerals bill;
- Marisa Cesar, president of the Board of AMC (Critical Minerals Association) and director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at PLS;
- Vilmar Simões, director-president of SGB (Brazilian Geological Service);
- Anderson Baranov, president of the Board of Simineral-PA (Mineral Industries Union of the State of Pará);
- Clovis Torres, CEO and president of Belo Sun;
- Pablo Cesário, director-president of Ibram (Brazilian Mining Institute); CEO of Samarco;
- Edilson Vitorelli, federal judge of the TRF6 (Federal Regional Court of the 6th Region); from the area of Coping with Extreme Events and Management of the Rio Doce Fund of BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development).
CNN Talks - Nova Era da Minação takes place from 7:40 pm to 9:35 pm in São Paulo, broadcast on the CNN Money YouTube channel from 8:30 pm.
