CNN launches special series "Michel Bastos: from Dream to National Team"

Former player from major clubs, such as Lyon, São Paulo and Palmeiras, Michel Bastos welcomed the CNN Brasil digital team for an interview, recalling the highlights of his life, including his beginnings in Pelotas (RS) until his arrival in the Brazilian team, with which he competed in the 2010 World Cup.

The full interview, lasting 1h12, is now available in full on CNN Esportes' YouTube. For those who prefer the series format, "Michel Bastos: from Dream to Selection" was divided into five parts.

Throughout the conversation, testimonies from friends and family lead the stories about the commentator, hired by CNN Brasil in May 2024. Among the reports, there are some highlights. One of them is the testimony of his son, Lucas, who brought the star to tears.

The statements by Marta Fischer, a former press advisor, also draw attention, recalling a gaffe committed by the former player in Italy; and five-time world champion Denílson, commentator and responsible for inspiring Michel Bastos to pursue a career in sports journalism.
