Clodoaldo Pelizzoni, secretary of SP City Hall, dies at age 57

Clodoaldo Pelizzoni, Secretary of Planning and Efficiency at São Paulo City Hall, died on Tuesday night (9) at the age of 57. The cause of death was not disclosed.

The mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), lamented the loss. "Very sad. Today we say goodbye to Clodoaldo Pelizzonni, who was an extremely qualified and dedicated public servant, as well as a kind colleague to everyone around him", he wrote in a post on social media.

"Throughout his career, he had outstanding performance, especially in the area of transport, of which he was deeply knowledgeable and studious. During our management, he made an important contribution to the city's planning, including the structuring of the capital's climate budget, today the most complete in the country", he added.

In April, Pelizzonni took over as Municipal Department of Planning and Efficiency. Before that, he held positions in the state government and, in 2023, he served as Deputy Secretary of Government.

The secretary graduated in public administration from FGV-SP (Fundação Getulio Vargas) and specialized in strategic management, public-private partnerships and concessions.

In a note, the City of São Paulo paid tribute to the secretary.

"Recognized for his technical competence, capacity for dialogue and public spirit, Clodoaldo Pelizzoni leaves a legacy of work, seriousness and commitment to the collective interest, marks that accompanied his entire professional life", says the statement.
