Actress Cleo Pires, 43, revealed that she received many disrespectful approaches during her television debut, in the soap opera "América", on TV Globo, in 2005.

The celebrity revealed that she was harassed a lot by men precisely at an important moment in her career.

"I didn't like being harassed. I didn't like it when some man said something stupid to me in the middle of the street, so I was very rude", she said, on the "OdeioCinema" podcast.

The artist, who was 23 years old at the time of recording, stated that she was considered "scumbag" by the press for the way she positioned herself on the subject.

"I was just reacting to harassment. Just because I'm famous doesn't mean I have to accept being harassed," he continued.

Finally, Cleo Pires assessed that her treatment with harassers was always based on reaction.

"I never liked those things. I always looked and said: 'Hi, how are you?'. The person would say something and I would say: 'Well? What did you say? I didn't understand'. Why do you have to stay silent for that? It's your mistake for reacting? I treated idiots like idiots", he concluded.
