Champions League final will have almost three teams called up for the World Cup; look
The teams that reach the long-awaited Champions League final are usually "national team level". In 2026, the force of expression takes on literal contours, as PSG and Arsenal, combined, have almost three entire teams of players who will compete in the World Cup.
Among the squads of the teams that will face each other this Saturday (30), at 1 pm (Brasília time), in the final of the European competition, 29 players were called up by their respective teams for the World Cup: 14 from PSG and 15 from Arsenal. If we consider a starting team (11 players), there would only be four left to complete three entire teams.
And this number could still increase, depending on the call from Ecuador, which has not yet released the final list. If Willian Pacho, from PSG, and Piero Hincapie, from Arsenal, are among Ecuador's 26 names, the total number of players called up between the two teams reaches 31.
France, England and Portugal dominate
Among the players called up, the majority will represent France. PSG will have five of its players in the French National Team, including the current best in the world Dembélé, while Arsenal will have Saliba alongside Les Bleus.
As for the English team, the four players selected for the Champions League final are at Arsenal, while four of the Portuguese team's squad are at PSG.
Brazil has three players in the Champions League final: Marquinhos, from PSG, and Gabriel Magalhães and Gabriel Martinelli, from Arsenal. The three will only join the Amarelinha delegation in the United States, and will not be available for the friendly against Panama, which marks the Brazilian team's farewell.
