Celebrities comment on Brazil's defeat in the World Cup: "Broken heart"
Brazil's elimination from the 2026 World Cup was covered by celebrities after the game. In the match, the Brazilian team was eliminated by Norway 2-1 in the round of 16.
Singer João Gomes got emotional when reflecting on having Neymar as an idol for years and the possibility of the athlete not returning to 2030. "Today, on this day, is the day that the child João is saddest. I'm from Santos, I support Neymar, for our national team. It was the last day that I saw the person I liked the most lose, and, on a day like this, you don't blame anyone", said the voice of "Dengo", falling into the cry. In the caption, he commented about loving being Brazilian and the people's hope in winning another tournament. "I never supported anyone else. I always supported him (Neymar) to be happy... I suffered in the last World Cup and we suffer now. So proud of everyone who was on the field (...) My heart is broken."
Ary Fontoura also lamented the Brazilian defeat: "Yeah, guys, it was unexpected, it didn't happen. We're rooting for it, but what are we going to do? Whoever doesn't do it, gets it", he said categorically.
Maísa Silva, who was at MetLife Stadium saw the Brazilian defeat live. "The dream is over," said the influencer with a video of the public and players leaving the field. "The World Cup is over for the Brazilian team. Congratulations, Norway; congratulations to the players, to Ancelotti. But that's football (...) everything is wrong and everything is right. The theaters will return to their normal programming", reflected Eri Johson.
Gkay was also emotional about being disqualified from the World Cup. "Crazy, we just wanted Hexa... No, we can't wake up without the World Cup. They're rowing without me", said the influencer, complaining about the Norwegian fans' famous dance.
