CBF headquarters is the target of protest after Brazil's defeat in the World Cup: "Fraudulent"

The elimination of the Brazilian team in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup continues to provoke reactions outside the four lines. This Monday (6), members of the Núcleo BR movement held a protest in front of the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

The group put up banners at the entity's gates criticizing the confederation's management and the moment experienced by the Seleção. Among the messages displayed were phrases such as "Respect the history of the only five-time champion", "Fraudulent Brazilian Confederation" and "Selection is tradition".

On social media, Núcleo BR stated that the demonstration aimed to demand changes after the Brazilian campaign in the World Cup, which ended with the 2-1 defeat to Norway.

"Those who support also charge. The Núcleo BR does not omit itself", wrote the movement.

In the publication, the organized fans stated that "crossing our arms and accepting the apathy that took over our National Team was never an option" and argued that the demand is part of the construction of a solid sporting project.

"The same size we have to support and build, we have to charge", says another excerpt from the note.

"Management equal to history"
The group also criticized the CBF administration and stated that the World Cup cycle was marked by problems off the field.

"Wearing the five-star shirt demands respect, responsibility, race and management that is worthy of our history. Whoever is in charge of the CBF must also behave as such and set an example. Our World Cup cycle was more focused on off-field problems than on football itself. Is this how you want to be champions?", questioned the movement.

At the end of the publication, fans stated that they went "to the root of the problem to demand action" and reinforced that they will continue to monitor and demand changes.

Longest title drought
The elimination to Norway extended the period without world titles for the Brazilian team. With this, Brazil will reach the 2030 World Cup after at least 28 years without winning the tournament, equaling the longest interval between titles in its history.

The setback also represented Brazil's worst campaign in the World Cup since 1990, when the team was eliminated in the round of 16 by Argentina.
