The episode quickly had repercussions on social media. While some fans criticized the force of the tackle, others recalled a recent statement by the midfielder about Endrick, which had sparked debate among internet users.
At the time, Casemiro stated that the striker was not yet one of the main names in the group and defended caution in expectations surrounding the player. "If he goes to the World Cup, because he's not yet one of the main players in the group, we have to be realistic about that. But we can't put pressure on him, as if he's going to solve or decide the games."
The statement ended up gaining negative repercussions on the networks, although the midfielder defended that the speech was taken out of context and that the intention was to "protect him".
The team continues its preparation for the 2026 World Cup. Before its debut in the tournament, Brazil will face Egypt in a friendly this Saturday (6), at 7pm (Brasília time). The first match at the World Cup will be against Morocco, on the 13th, in Group C.
