Casemiro analyzes Brazil's victory: "We are on the way"

Brazil beat Haiti 3-0 this Friday (19), with goals from Matheus Cunha and Vinícius Júnior, and took the lead in Group C of the World Cup. In midfielder Casemiro's assessment, the team is on the right track in the World Cup.

"In addition to the result, [to praise] the team's commitment, very complete from the beginning. [We played] a good game. The World Cup doesn't have an easy game, many teams are drawing, losing games. That's the spirit. Now we're going to improve", he said, after the match.

"We played better, but this is the way forward. There's still a long way to go, we know we need to improve. But good victory", he added.

Casemiro was one of Brazil's most criticized names in the opening draw against Morocco. This Friday, he had a safer performance.

Praises for the defense
Even against a more fragile opponent, Casemiro praised the team for not conceding any goals. "The principle of the World Cup is not to concede goals. We know," he said.

"We know that the defense starts up front, but Alisson, the defensive system, did well. It was a complete match, we are to be congratulated."

With the result, Carlo Ancelotti's team takes the lead in group C of the World Cup, surpassing Morocco on goal difference - the African team beat Scotland, also this Friday, 1-0.

Next Wednesday (24), with simultaneous games at 7pm (Brasília time), the final classification of the group will be decided. Brazil faces Scotland in Miami, while Morocco faces Haiti in Atlanta.
