Patria will put the brakes on acquisitions and prioritize the integration of funds that entered its portfolio after the series of operations that made the company the largest independent real estate fund manager in Brazil.

In an interview with Capital Insights, Patria's partner and head of real estate, Rodrigo Abbud, said that the focus today is on consolidating acquired managers and portfolios.

In four years, Patria went from R$500 million to almost R$40 billion in real estate assets under management, which resulted, according to Abbud, in an excess of strategies, which will now be streamlined.

"We don't have 40 strategies, let's consolidate the funds", he commented.

The statements were made in an interview with Capital Insights, a program produced in partnership between Broadcast and CNN Money, this Thursday (28).

Abbud noted that the capital market has compensated for the lack of credit, pressured by high interest rates.

According to Pátria's partner, the logistics warehouse market remains in high demand, on the path to the expansion of e-commerce. In parallel, he added, vacancy rates continue to fall in offices.

He highlighted that the real estate fund market reached 2.3 million investors registered with B3, transacting R$500 million daily.

Despite the difficulties in the macroeconomic environment, such as the slow reduction in interest rates and the high indebtedness of consumers and companies, the market is experiencing a good moment and is delivering greater dividends to fund shareholders, Abbud pointed out.
