Canada x Bosnia Herzegovina: lineups and where to watch the World Cup
Canada makes its debut in the 2026 World Cup this Friday (12), against Bosnia-Herzegovina, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Toronto Stadium, in Toronto. The match counts for the first round of Group B.

Before kickoff, the stadium will host the second of three opening ceremonies planned by FIFA, with the participation of Canadians Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette and Alessia Cara.
One of the competition's host countries, Canada is competing in two consecutive World Cups for the first time in its history and is looking to improve its record from the 2022 edition, when it finished last in its group.
The team led by Jesse Marsch has an important absence: Alphonso Davies, recovering from injury, is out of the match. The Bayern Munich player scored Canada's first World Cup goal in Qatar, 68 seconds into the game against Croatia.
On the other side, Bosnia-Herzegovina is competing in the second World Cup in its history. In their first participation, in 2014, in Brazil, the team also fell in the group stage. The place in 2026 came in the European playoff, with a victory over Italy in the penalty shootout.
Two remnants of the 2014 campaign remain in the squad: full-back Sead Kolašinac, a starter this Friday, and striker Edin Dzeko, an idol of the national team.
The duel in Toronto marks the first confrontation between Canada and Bosnia-Herzegovina in history, considering official and friendly matches.
