Canada recorded one of the biggest victories in its football history by beating Qatar 6-0, this Thursday (18), at BC Place Stadium, in Vancouver, in the second round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

The match, valid in Group B, was marked by the absolute dominance of the Canadian team, which achieved its first World Cup triumph - an unprecedented feat in the country's entire history in the tournament.
Jesse Marsch's team was dominant from start to finish - Jonathan David, three times, Larin, Saliba, from a free kick, and Manai, against, scored to seal the first Canadian victory in the history of the World Cup. But before the final whistle, midfielder Koné, number 8, broke his leg in a tackle with Qatari midfielder Madibo.
