The Brazilian team will face Egypt this Saturday (6), at 7pm, in Cleveland, in the last match before the World Cup. The last time the two teams met was in November 2011, when Brazil won 2-0, with two goals from Jonas.

Of that team, only full-back Alex Sandro was called up for the 2026 World Cup. The athlete had arrived in Porto a few months ago, after winning the Libertadores with Santos. A member of then coach Mano Menezes' team, Alex played the 90 minutes at the Al Rayyan Stadium, in Qatar.

With many names that did not establish themselves with the Canarinho shirt, Brazil was selected with: Diego Alves, Daniel Alves, David Luiz, Thiago Silva and Alex Sandro; Lucas Leiva, Fernandinho, Hernanes and Bruno César; Hulk and Jonas.

During the match, Mano put on Elias, Willian, Dudu and Kléber, a former Porto and Palmeiras striker, who did not emerge into international football.

Brazil is in Group C, alongside Morocco, Scotland and Haiti. This will be the first World Cup with 48 participants. The top two placed teams in each bracket advance, as do the eight best third-placed teams.
