Bus accident in Spain leaves at least 44 injured

A public transport bus collided with the provincial council building in the city of Lleida, in northeastern Spain, on Wednesday (1st), leaving at least 44 people injured, according to the SEM (Catalonia Medical Emergency Service).

Emergency teams reported that four people were in critical condition, nine suffered serious injuries - but not life-threatening - and 31 had minor injuries.

Rescue teams and ambulances were sent to the scene. There were no deaths reported.

The bus had just left the bus station and was heading towards the municipality of La Granja d'Escarp when the accident occurred.
