A crowd gathered at a house in Dhaka to see a rare albino buffalo nicknamed 'Donald Trump', on the eve of the Eid al-Adha festival.

The animal, which will be sacrificed, earned its nickname due to the tuft of light hair that falls over its forehead, a feature that many say is similar to the United States president's signature hairstyle.

"The main intention behind the purchase was to please Allah, that is, to sacrifice him in the path of Allah. Now, he has gone viral and because of that, he is getting a lot of attention and attracting a huge crowd," said the owner, Muhammad Fariduzzaman Sharon, who purchased the animal two months ago.

The buffalo had been kept on the breeder's farm until Sharon brought it home on Monday for the Eid sacrifice.

Albino buffaloes are considered rare in Bangladesh, where most buffaloes have dark skin. The animal's cream-colored body, pink nose and long, blond fur made it stand out among the thousands of cattle prepared for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, when families traditionally sacrifice animals.

Eid al-Adha is one of the two main holidays in Islam and occurs in the middle of next week, marking the culmination of the Hajj.

The Hajj is an annual pilgrimage that attracts millions of Muslims to Mecca, a holy city in Saudi Arabia, to perform religious rites taught by the Prophet Muhammad to his followers 14 centuries ago.

As the fifth pillar of Islam, Hajj is a religious duty that every Muslim with the physical and financial conditions to perform it must fulfill at least once in their life. It represents the highest expression of Islamic faith, devotion and global unity.
