Bridge that collapsed in Acre: see the health status of the victims
The government of Acre, through the Department of Health, updated the health status of the four victims of the collapse of the Frei Paolino Baldassari bridge, on Friday night (5), in the 2nd district of Sena Madureira, in the interior of the state.
According to the medical bulletin released this Saturday morning (6), one victim has already been discharged, two remain hospitalized in stable health and one has a very serious clinical condition. All receive assistance from medical teams at the Rio Branco Emergency Room.
Edinaldo Muniz dos Santos, aged 54, is admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in a very serious condition, recovering from surgery to correct a pelvic fracture. In addition, he suffered a severe head injury and remains under mechanical ventilation and multidisciplinary monitoring.
He had arrived at the hospital in serious condition with head trauma, internal abdominal and kidney trauma.
Moments before the bridge collapsed, Edinaldo made a broadcast on a social network talking about the problems presented on the bridge. According to him, the passage was closed due to damaged structural parts.
Weverton Murieta, aged 34, was discharged from hospital after undergoing a medical evaluation and presenting a stable clinical condition. He had been treated for abrasions and minor injuries.

Ednei Muniz dos Santos, aged 51, and Antônio Morais Lima Filho, aged 36, suffered fractures in the forearm and femur, respectively. The two are undergoing pre-operative surgery to correct the injuries.
Antônio was admitted to the hospital in a very serious condition with a fractured femur and dilated pupils.
The government of Acre reported that the victims disrespected the isolation of the site carried out by the Civil Defense. It is not yet known what the four injured people were doing in the area of the bridge before the collapse.

According to the State government, the bridge had already been closed since Thursday (4) due to security measures related to structural damage and was being monitored by technical teams.

The victims were helped by Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service) from Bujari and Manoel Urbano. Ciopaer (Integrated Air Operations Center), CBMAC (Acre Military Fire Department) and an advanced support ambulance from Rio Branco were called to assist in the transfer of individuals with serious health conditions.
In a statement, Governor Mailza Assis informed that she is investigating possible irregularities in order to take all appropriate measures. The company responsible for the work was called and has already sent technicians to assess the structure of the road.
Million-dollar investments in the bridge
According to the government, R$36 million was invested in the construction of the bridge, which took almost two years to complete, with R$20 million allocated by Detran State Department of Transit and the rest of the amount coming from the government's own resources.
The work was carried out in part by public action by Deracre (Department of Highways, Waterway and Airport Infrastructure of Acre) and by the private company Cidade.
