Brazilian wanted by Interpol is arrested in Guyana

A Brazilian, fugitive from justice and wanted by Interpol, was arrested by the Federal Police in the Cooperative Republic of Guyana. The information was released on Friday night (5).

The person being investigated was on the international police's Red Diffusion list, due to a preventive arrest warrant issued by the Court of the State of Pará.

According to investigations, the man is identified as a member of a criminal group involved in a robbery in the city of Thailand (PA), in 2025, through a serious threat and restriction of the victims' freedom.

The investigations were conducted by the state's Civil Police and helped to identify and locate the fugitive, which allowed him to be placed on international search engines.

As a result, the Federal Police carried out police cooperation actions with corporations abroad that led to the arrest of the person being investigated in Guyana.

After his arrest, the man was transferred to Brazil and handed over to Brazilian authorities for the appropriate legal procedures. Now, he is at the disposal of Justice.

The operation also included the collaboration of the Roraima Civil Police and the Guyana Police.
