Brazilian team is worth almost twice as much as Morocco's squad, study shows
The Brazilian team has a market value almost twice that of Morocco, according to a survey published by the TransferRoom platform. The study estimates Brazil's squad at €928.7 million (R$5.94 billion), while the Moroccan team is valued at €498.3 million (R$3.18 billion).
The difference between the two teams is €430.4 million, equivalent to around R$2.75 billion. Despite the distance, Morocco has one of the most valuable squads among teams outside Europe and South America.
The team's most valuable player is Vinicius Júnior, valued at €128.2 million (R$819 million). In the Moroccan team, the leader is Achraf Hakimi, with an estimated value of €71.4 million (R$456 million).
The survey considers the so-called "Expected Transfer Value" (xTV), an indicator that estimates the economic value of athletes in the transfer market. The metric takes into account factors such as age, performance, contract and negotiation potential.

The confrontation between Brazil and Morocco is seen as one of the most balanced between teams from different continents when the criterion is market value. The African team has more than half the value of the Brazilian squad and has eight players valued at over €20 million.
In the TransferRoom ranking, Brazil appears as the sixth most valuable squad for the 2026 World Cup. Morocco is not in the top 10, but surpasses traditional teams such as Mexico, South Africa and Iraq.
Despite the difference in market values, TransferRoom's estimates do not represent a prediction of sporting performance in the World Cup. The index seeks to measure the economic value of athletes and squads in the transfer market.
