Brazil's GDP grows 1.1% in the 1st quarter, says IBGE

Brazil's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew 1.1% in the first quarter of this year, reported the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) this Friday (29). In current values, the Brazilian economy totaled R$3.3 trillion in the period.
The result represents an acceleration compared to the last three months of 2025, when the Brazilian economy grew 0.3% (revised number). In 12 months, GDP registered an increase of 2%.
The highlight was once again Agriculture, which registered an increase of 2% in the first three months of the year. The other two sectors evaluated also registered a positive change, with growth of 1% in Industry and 0.5% in Services.
