Brazil opens market for frozen fruits to China and seeds to Panama

The Brazilian government announced, this Wednesday (17), the opening of new markets for agricultural products in China and Panama.

Chinese authorities authorized the import of fruit pulp and frozen fruits from Brazil. According to MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock), Brazilian agricultural exports to China exceeded US$55 billion in 2025, with emphasis on animal proteins, soy products and forestry products.

In Panama, Brazil received authorization to export coconut and coffee seeds. The country imported around US$100 million in Brazilian agricultural products in 2025, mainly forestry products, coffee, cereals, flours and preparations.

With the new announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has registered 642 market openings since the beginning of 2023. Negotiations were conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and the MRE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
