Brazil is invited by the Trump government to an event against the 'extreme left'

Brazil has been invited by the Trump administration to an event in Washington next week that will debate the "resurgence of left-wing transnational terrorism".

The information was confirmed to g1 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the American newspaper "The Washington Post", US Secretary of State Marco Rubio invited representatives from more than 60 countries to the event.
State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott told the newspaper that the event was organized because far-left terrorism is "an old threat that is resurfacing with strong links transnational organizations".
In 2025, Donald Trump signed an executive order designating the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization.
