Brazil has only one name on the list of highest paid athletes in the world; see who he is and how much he earns

The ranking of the highest paid athletes in the world by Forbes magazine became even slimmer for Brazil this year. After having two representatives in 2025, the list now has just one Brazilian: Vinicius Júnior.
The Real Madrid striker appears in 34th position in the ranking, with earnings estimated at US$60 million (R$300.03 million) throughout the year - with US$40 million (R$200 million) received on the field and another US$20 million (R$100 million) coming from contracts advertising and commercial actions outside of football.
In last year's survey, Brazil had two names among the 50 highest paid athletes on the planet. In addition to Vini Jr., who was in 46th place, striker Neymar was also on the list and was even the best-placed Brazilian.
At the time, Neymar was in 25th place, with estimated earnings of US$76 million (R$380 million, considering the current dollar exchange rate) throughout 2025, while Vini Jr. appeared in 46th place, with US$55 million (R$ 275.03 million, at the current price).
Now, however, Neymar is out of the ranking, and Vinicius Júnior is now the only Brazilian representative among the highest paid athletes in the world.
