The Brazilian team has maintained a brand for almost 100 years in World Cups: invincibility in debuts. Since 1934, at the World Cup held in Italy, Amarelinha has not been defeated in its first game.

The only team to participate in all editions of the World Cup has, in fact, only two negative marks on debut in its entire history. In 1930, they also lost to Yoguslavia 2-1 in Uruguay.

Since then, the numbers have been impressive. There are 17 wins and now, four draws, 21 editions in a row without major problems in the first step.

Vini Jr maintains another tradition
Brazil adds other positive marks in the World Cups. In all of history, Brazil, the only team to participate in all World Cups, only failed to score in the debut of the 1974 edition, when they drew goalless with Yugoslavia.

Since then, the Brazilian team has always scored in its debuts in the main football competition on the planet.

Vini Jr. also joined names like Pelé, Romário and Reinaldo, responsible for opening Brazil's scoring in other World Cup editions. Click and check the list.

Next games for the Brazilian team
After the draw in their debut, Brazil returns to the field in group C of the World Cup next Friday (19), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), when they face Haiti in Philadelphia.

The team closes the group stage on June 24, a Wednesday, at 7pm, in Miami.

The other game in the first round of group C will be held this Saturday, at 10pm, between Haiti and Scotland. If the match has a winner, he will be the leader of the group.
