Brazil game will have 24-hour Metro operation in São Paulo

The São Paulo Metro will operate uninterruptedly between the early hours of Saturday (4) and Sunday (5), when the Brazilian team faces Norway in the round of 16 of the World Cup.

The special operation, on an experimental basis, seeks to facilitate the movement of passengers who will follow the departure in bars, restaurants and other points in the capital.

The measure will only be valid for lines 1-Blue, 2-Green, 3-Red and 15-Silver, operated by the State Government.

The lines granted to the private sector, 4-Yellow and 5-Lilac, will not participate in the special operation and the integrations with CPTM will also remain closed during the night.

Between 0:00 and 4:40, stations will remain open for boarding and disembarking, with intervals between trains of approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

As physical ticket offices will not be open during this period, passengers must use digital means to pay the fare, self-service machines or credit and debit cards by contacting them directly at the turnstiles.

The company will also maintain reserve trains positioned at strategic points on the network to meet any increase in passenger demand close to departure time. The flow will be monitored in real time by the CCO (Operational Control Center).

Brazil and Norway face each other this Sunday (5), at 5pm (Brasília time), at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey, in the United States, in a duel valid for the round of 16 of the World Cup.
