Brazil faces the United States in a friendly match with an eye on the Women's World Cup

Brazil and the United States face each other in a friendly to prepare for the Women's World Cup in 2027. The game will be this Saturday (6), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo.

The game marks the return of the United States team to Brazil after 12 years. On the last visit, in 2014, Brazil won 3-2, with a hat-trick from Marta, in the semi-final of the Brasília International Tournament.

The last meeting between the teams was in April 2025, in the United States. Brazil won, 2-1, in a friendly played at PayPal Park, in San Jose. For the first time in history, the national team beat the United States at their opponents' home.

For the game, Arthur Elias only has veteran Marta as a doubt. Throughout the week, she developed edema on her left thigh. However, she trained with the rest of the team this Thursday and Friday.

In general, Brazil is looking for its sixth victory over the Americans this Saturday.
