Brazil faces hosts Slovenia in search of their first victory in the 2nd week

Brazil and Slovenia face off this Saturday (27), at 3:30 pm (Brasília time), in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for the third game of the second week of the Men's Volleyball Nations League (VNL). The Brazilian team is looking for its first victory at this stage of the tournament, after two consecutive defeats.

The second week of the VNL has not been fruitful for Brazil, which comes from defeats to Ukraine by 3 sets to 1 and to Italy by the same score. Both games took place this week. In the first week, played in Brasília, the team achieved four consecutive victories.

With the negative results, the Brazilian team occupies seventh place in the overall VNL table, with 11 points. Slovenia, in turn, is coming off a victory over Bulgaria by 3 sets to 2. The host has five wins and one loss in the tournament, being in fourth place with 11 points.

VNL Format
The first phase of the Men's Volleyball Nations League is divided into three weeks. In them, the 18 participating teams play a total of 12 games before the final phase.

Classification for the final phase
After the end of the initial phase, the seven best placed in the general table advance to the knockout stage. China, as the host country for the final phase, already has its place guaranteed. The tournament will be held between July 29th and August 2nd.
