Brazil defends 65-year unbeaten record against Egypt in friendly

The Brazilian team plays this Saturday (6), against Egypt, their last friendly before their debut in the 2026 World Cup. The match will be played at Huntington Field, in Cleveland, in the United States.

The team led by Carlo Ancelotti enters the field to defend a 65-year unbeaten record against the Egyptians. In six matches played since 1960, Amarelinha won six, with 18 goals scored and only four conceded.

The most recent meeting took place in 2011, in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. On that occasion, the Seleção won 2-0, with both goals scored by Jonas.

The friendly will be the last opportunity for Ancelotti to observe the team and make adjustments before the World Cup debut. Brazil begins its journey in the competition against Morocco, on June 14, in New Jersey. The team is in Group C, alongside Haiti and Scotland.

Egypt is now part of Group G and will debut in the World Cup against Belgium, in Seattle.
