Brazil beat Iran 3 sets to 1 this Wednesday (10), at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium, in Brasília. The match was valid for the first round of the first week of the VNL. The splits for the Brazilian triumph were 25/21, 23/25, 25/15 and 25/23.

The opposite Darlan was the highlight of the match. With 18 points and an attack rate of 75%, he was the Brazilian team's top scorer. For Iran, opposite Ali Hajipour scored 17 points.

The game started calmly for Brazil. Despite the strong Iranian attack, Bernardinho's team did not let the pressure shake them and closed the first set with an advantage.

In the second half, the team came back more inattentive and suffered against the opposing team. The visitors were better and, despite the tight score, managed to tie the game.

The third set was the best for the Brazilian team. The team corrected the mistakes of the previous half, was more efficient and remained ahead of the scoreboard at all times. With that, he managed to close the stage with a ten point advantage.

The last set started better for the Iranians. The team managed to score more points and created a five-point advantage at 17 to 12. Brazil then reacted and, in a sequence of attacks, managed to turn the match around. Bernardinho's team reached 25 points and closed the duel 3 sets to 1.

The Brazilian team returns to the courts this Thursday (11), at 8pm (Brasília time), to face Belgium, again at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium.
