Brazil debuts in the VNL against the Netherlands in search of an unprecedented title

The opponent will be the Netherlands, champion of the Four Nations Cup, a friendly tournament played against Ukraine, France and Germany, with three victories. O time estará sem sua capitã e maior pontuadora, Nika Daalderop, que sofreu uma lesão.

In Brazil, Zé Roberto mixes already established names with players looking for space. The call list contains Macris, Roberta, Kisy, Tainara, Ana Cristina, Helena, Rosamaria, Gabi, Julia Bergmann, Diana, Julia Kudiess, Lorena, Luzia, Marcelle, Natinha and Nyeme.

The VNL title is a taboo
Since the VNL was created in 2018, replacing the traditional Grand Prix, Brazil has never managed to reach the highest place on the podium. On four occasions the team hit the post - in 2025, against Italy for the second time, as well as in 2022.

Em 2019 e em 2021, a seleção dos Estados Unidos foi a grande algoz. The scenario is completely opposite to that of the old competition. No Grand Prix, o Brasil era o maior vencedor da história. De 1993 até 2017, foram 12 títulos em 24 anos.

Brasil não terá Gabi
A seleção brasileira também estará desfalcada na estreia. Gabi is not among the 14 listed for the first match. A ausência, no entanto, não significa um corte.
