Brazil beats Dominican Republic and wins 2nd in a row in Women's VNL

Brazil beat the Dominican Republic by 3 sets to 1 (23/25, 25/18, 25/11 and 25/15), on Thursday night (4), at the Nilson Nelson gymnasium, in Brasília (DF), in the second round of the Women's Volleyball Nations League.

The highlight of the game was Tainara, who, with 20 points, was the highest scorer of the match, marking Brazil's consecutive victory. On Wednesday (3), the Brazilians debuted with a victory over the Netherlands by the same score of 3 sets to 1.

The Brazilian Women's Volleyball Team now gets a day off and returns to the courts on Saturday (6), at 11 am, to face Bulgaria, the same opponent as the Dominican Republic, this Friday (5).

The game
The Dominican Republic started better and maintained an advantage on the scoreboard in the first set. At the end, Brazil turned the score around. However, the difference became minimal, with the teams taking turns in the lead. The Dominicans reached the first set point and closed the partial.

The second set was completely different from the first. Brazil was superior from start to finish. The team built a calm advantage and had no difficulties. The opponents were also unable to impose themselves and present danger to the Brazilians.

The third and fourth sets followed the same scenario as the second. In the third, Brazil opened a 14-point lead, making their most dominant half. In the last set, Brazil remained superior and closed the game without difficulties.
