Bragantino beats Inter with a goalkeeper goal, and complicates the opponent
RB Bragantino beat Internacional 3-1, this Sunday (31), at the Cícero de Souza Marques Stadium, in Bragança Paulista. The match was valid for the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship.
The goals were scored by Fernando, Juninho Capixaba and Tiago Volpi, from Red Bull Bragantino. Aguirre declined to Colorado.
This was the second time the goalkeeper scored for Massa Bruta. The first goal for the São Paulo team was on May 18, in the 2-0 victory over Vitória, also in the Brasileirão. In his career, this is Volpi's 19th goal.
With the result, Massa Bruta remains in fifth place in the tournament, now with 29 points.
Colorado continues to be in a difficult situation in the Brazilian Championship. Inter occupies 14th place, with 21 points. If Vasco wins the game against Atlético-MG, the Gauchos will be in 17th place, with the same score as the first team in the relegation zone.
This was the last game before the World Cup break. Red Bull Bragantino and Internacional return to the field in July, after the World Cup.
The game
International started the game with pressure. After 12 minutes, Alan Patrick took a dangerous shot from inside the area, but sent it out.
Bragantino, however, was undeterred. Just two minutes later, Fernando hit a shot against the post for Massa Bruta. From then on, the São Paulo team took the lead in the game.
In the 17th minute, Anthoni took a goal kick, but Alix Vinicius cut it, the Colorado goalkeeper tried to head it away, but, on the rebound, Fernando took advantage of the free goal and, from distance, sent a bomb to open the score.
Fully confident, Bragantino had chances to increase the score throughout the first half.
In stoppage time of the first half, Inter had the chance to equalize, but Carbonero made a mistake in front of goal.
Still in extra time, in the 51st minute of the first half, Juninho Capixaba doubled for Braga with a beautiful free kick, with no chance for Anthoni.
The second half started the way the first ended: with pressure from Bragantino. In the second minute, the team tried to increase the score, but sent it out.
Four minutes into the final stage, Victor Gabriel fells Pitta in the area and the referee awarded a penalty for the home team. After six minutes, goalkeeper Volpi scored and scored Massa Bruta's third. Ball one way, goalkeeper the other.
Shortly later, at ten minutes, Gustavo Marques grabbed the rebound and scored Bragantino's fourth goal. However, the move was canceled due to offside.
In the 33rd minute, Inter reduced. After a pass from Bruno Henrique, Aguirre dominated, shot and saw the ball hit the crossbar and enter the goal.
