Brabinhas in the National Team: Corinthians trio are called up for Brazil under-15 training

Corinthians has three athletes called up by coach Beatriz Vaz, from the Brazilian Under-15 Women's Team, for the last period of preparation for the Liga Evolución, played in September.

Among the 26 names called up this Monday morning are winger Isabel Morais and midfielders Mariana Matos and Rafa Alves. The Canarian team will be meeting from June 17th to 23rd, at Granja Comary, in Rio de Janeiro.

Meet the Brabinhas called up

At just 13 years old (2012), Isabel is the youngest of the black and white trio. At Corinthians since the beginning of 2025, she participated in the regional tournaments for the under-12 and under-13 categories in São Paulo, and was part of the squad that won the bronze medal in the CBF under-14 Development League and the Guarulhos Festival title (2026).

Rafa Alves (2012), 14 years old, has been on the team for two years. She won the Torneio Paulista in the under-12 and under-13 categories, the first in 2024 and the second the following year. Even though she was 13 years old last season, she was already playing for the under-15 team.

Mariana Matos (2011), aged 15, arrived at Corinthians at the end of last season, after a spell at Flugoiânia. She was part of the semi-finalist squad of Paulistão under-15 last year, and won the Torneio Paulista under-15, in Sorocaba, undefeated.

The Corinthians Feminino under-15 team currently occupies second place behind Paulistão in the category, with six points won in three matches, behind only Ferroviária.

Disputed in Paraguay, Liga Evolución 2026 will take place between the 8th and 20th of September. The competition emerges as the category's main continental challenge, establishing itself as an important stage in the process of evolving the sport's promises.
