Botafogo suffers another transfer ban and remains banned from signing players
Botafogo increased its number of problems with the fourth transfer ban applied by FIFA. With the sanction this Wednesday (27), Glorioso is prohibited from signing players for three transfer windows.
It is the fourth such punishment that the club has suffered in just over a month.
And the character who received this punishment is striker Artur, currently on loan to São Paulo, according to an investigation by Rádio Tupi. He was signed from Zenit, in Russia, at the beginning of last year, as a replacement for Luiz Henrique's departure. Glorioso owes installments of the negotiation, which is why he was punished.
The previous punishments - all in the last few weeks - were for failure to comply with the agreement to pay for the signing of Almada (Botafogo had been punished, negotiated the debt, but is in debt), Rwan Cruz and Santi Rodríguez.
Of those mentioned, only the last one remains at the club. Rwan had been hired by Bulgarian football, and returned there. Almada is at Atlético de Madrid.
