Book Fair 2026 starts this Saturday (30) in SP; check out highlights

São Paulo hosts, from this Saturday (30) until next Sunday (7), the 2026 Book Fair. The event takes place at Charles Miller Square, in front of the Pacaembu stadium, in the west of the capital.

Admission is free and there will be more than 100 authors, 160 exhibitors and around 240 activities, which include debates, launches, autographs and live podcasts. The complete program can be accessed on the event website.

The program consists of literature, journalism, politics, Afro-Brazilian culture, indigenous thought, football, childhood, book culture, behavior, the environment and current affairs discussions.

The event will be divided into three simultaneous stages: the Praça Stage, the Football Museum Auditorium, at the Football Museum, and Espaço Rebentos, aimed at children and young people.

Brazilian names such as Ana Maria Machado, Nei Lopes, Silviano Santiago, Carla Madeira, Jeferson Tenório, Gregorio Duvivier, Mariana Salomão Carrara and Adriana Negreiros, among others, will participate in the event.

The Fair will also have the presence of international authors from countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Nigeria, Russia, France, Portugal, Spain and the United States.

The Book Fair is held by Associação Quatro Cinco Um, an organization dedicated to the dissemination of books in Brazil, Maré Produções, a company specialized in art exhibitions, and the Ministry of Culture, through the Rouanet Law. The general direction is by Paulo Werneck, from Associação Quatro Cinco Um, and architect Alvaro Razuk, from Maré Produções. The executive direction is by Mariana Shiraiwa.
