Body is found during search for missing person in Ilhabela
A body was found, this Monday (1st), during the search for Dheorge Pereira, carried out by Civil Defense and Fire Department agents in Ilhabela, on the coast of São Paulo.
According to the authorities, there is still no confirmation that it is a man. The body will be taken to the IML (Legal Medical Institute) to carry out technical expertise and identification.
Dheorge has been missing for a week, since June 24, after suffering an accident with a jet ski along with his friend Bruna Damaris Sant'anna da Silva.
Days earlier, agents located a vest belonging to Dheorge floating in the sea and the jet-ski on which he was sunk.
Rescue of Bruna: 42 hours adrift at sea
Bruna Damaris Sant'anna da Silva, aged 26, was found two days after the accident, on the 26th, between the vicinity of Búzios Island and Tamanduá Island, at a distance of around 18 to 22 kilometers from the original starting point, after being adrift at sea for 42 hours. She was weak and suffered from hypothermia.
On social media, she released a statement detailing what happened and talking about the last time she saw Dheorge.
She explained that she stayed with him at sea for about two days. According to Bruna, the current was strong, which took them to the open sea. For this reason, they were unable to hold on to the watercraft as it was sinking. Soon after, she didn't see him again either.
"We stayed together at all times until Tuesday (26) in the early hours of the morning. My colleague didn't take off his vest and I didn't see him sinking", he said.
The survivor explained the reason for her silence in the first few days and informed that she has already passed on all the information to the police authorities.
"I haven't had the opportunity to talk to my colleague's family yet because I was/am recovering and I didn't have the mind to go back to the whole situation that happened", he said, adding that he is currently resting and taking medication", he concluded.

Understand the case
Bruna and Dheorge were participating in a get-together on the beach together with a group of friends when, around 4pm last Sunday (24), they went for a ride on a watercraft, without informing a defined destination. Soon after, they were no longer seen.
Dheoge even published a video riding the jet ski before disappearing.
The fire teams, together with the PM's Eagle Helicopter, managed to locate the following day, on Monday afternoon (25), part of the jet-ski sunk in the water. This contributed to delimiting a more precise search area.
During the work, a vest was found. GBMar confirmed, on Thursday (28), that the object belonged to Dheorge.
