"Big Brother": Lindbergh and Flávio discuss the senator's audio with Vorcaro

Congressmen Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) discussed this Thursday (21) during a joint session of the National Congress about the leaked audio in which the presidential candidate asks former banker Daniel Vorcaro for money.

From the tribune of the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies, Lindbergh questioned Flávio's explanations about his relationship with the former banker to finance the film "Dark Horse", which portrays the political trajectory of his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

"Your Excellency [Flávio Bolsonaro] has a recording with Vorcaro saying: 'big brother, you can't have half a conversation with us'. Your Excellency goes up to the podium and says nothing about it. No explanation to the nation, no explanation to Brazil", said the PT deputy.

In response, Flávio recalled a meeting between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Vorcaro outside the official agenda: "The one who has to give explanations is his boss, what he was doing in that secret meeting. Helping Banco Master with the BC [Central Bank], hoping to change the president of the BC to help Vorcaro and Augusto Lima. Lula is a partner, advisor or just a friend of these people."

During his speech from the pulpit, Flávio - surrounded by supporting parliamentarians - "challenged" other left-wing deputies and senators to sign requests for the opening of a CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) or CPMI (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) to investigate the Banco Master case.

Under provocation, Lindbergh denied Flávio. "It's a lie that we didn't sign the CPI. We signed the request from Heloisa [Helena] and [Rodrigo] Rollemberg. Rogério [Carvalho] has another request. But I have a request: explain to me how money leaves Brazil, money goes to the USA and the film is shot here? Where's the explanation? [...] The meeting with Vorcaro was days before Flávio announced his candidacy for President. Your Excellency went to ask for money for your campaign at Vorcaro? All of Brazil already knew what Vorcaro was. The money came from corruption", said the PT member.

Master's CPI
More than ten parliamentarians presented points of order pressing for the reading of requests on the opening of Master's CPMIs in this Thursday's joint session.

The president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP), reinforced that the decision on the agenda rests with the presidency of Congress and even apologized for ruling out the installation of a commission despite being demanded by oppositionists and government supporters. He defended the focus on the planned agenda for the analysis of presidential vetoes that deal with transfers to municipalities.

"Thousands of mayors in Brazil are in need of a gesture from Congress to deliberate this agenda. I ask for your understanding. I apologize to Your Excellencies for not meeting the demand requested by 11 more congressmen in this session in relation to another topic that was not previously established on the deliberation agenda", said Alcolumbre.
