Benefits attract employees, says CEO of TotalPass

Benefits aimed at the well-being of employees are no longer an optional differentiator and are now considered an essential requirement in the job market. This is what Felipe Calbucci, CEO of TotalPass, says in an interview with the program É Negócio, on CNN Brasil Money.

According to Calbucci, the presence of this type of benefit is already recurrent in job advertisements published on job portals.

"If you follow the job advertisements on the job portals, it always says: benefit, TotalPass", he said.

For him, companies that do not offer this type of benefit come to be seen as organizations that do not care about their employees.

Talent retention is also impacted
In addition to attracting candidates, Calbucci highlighted that the benefit also influences employee retention. He explained that the platform allows the inclusion of up to three dependents, which generates an indirect effect: the family members themselves begin to pressure the employee so that he does not leave the company and, consequently, does not lose the plan.

"People receive social pressure from their dependents not to leave the company, so as not to lose their plan", he said.

Ongoing studies seek to prove the impact on health and productivity
Calbucci also mentioned that the company is conducting pilot projects to demonstrate that employees who go to gyms more regularly tend to use their health plan less, miss less work and have greater productivity.

The executive acknowledged, however, that there is still no 100% conclusive study on the topic. "It takes time, you need to separate samples by person's profile, so it's more complex than it seems to create a study", he pondered.

According to him, TotalPass is precisely in the process of consolidating these cases with a scientific basis.
