Belgium's penalty was the latest goal in World Cup history

Belgium booked their place in the World Cup round of 16 against Senegal with the late goal in World Cup history.

The team turned the game around, which was 2-0 until the 40th minute of the second half with a penalty kick in the 19th minute of extra time.

Belgium had played a bad game, and Senegal was already taking advantage when, in the 40th minute, Lukaku scored in an aerial play. Tielemans equalized and took the game to extra time.

In extra time, both teams slowed down due to physical exhaustion, but continued to seek the classification goal. The decisive move came when everything seemed to be heading towards a penalty shootout.

Tielemans was brought down by Lamine Camara inside the box. The referee signaled the penalty, and the midfielder himself took responsibility. He hit with class, displaced Mory Diaw and scored the winning goal in extra time.
