Mike D, legendary member of the Beastie Boys, has revealed the details of his first solo tour on the east coast of the United States, scheduled for late summer 2026. This series of shows celebrates the release of his new solo album, entitled "Thank You", scheduled to reach the public on August 28th. Almost two decades after the Beastie Boys' last concert, Mike D returns to the stage with a short but significant schedule, which will begin on August 30th in Boston, at the Royale, a concert venue with a capacity for around 1,200 people. From there, the artist will head to four other important cities on the East Coast, including Washington D.C., Asheville, Atlanta and Queens, with performances scheduled for September 1st, 3rd, 5th and 9th, respectively. Throughout the tour, Mike D will be accompanied by his band 5D, which features special appearances from his children, Skyler and Davis Diamond, as well as musicians Eddie Ruscha, Will Graefe and Milo Ruscha. This training reinforces the collaborative nature of the project, which Mike D describes as a very rewarding experience. In his words, "It was so much fun making this song with people I love and have learned to value even more through this collaboration." The album "Thank You" features ten tracks that promise an eclectic mix of musical genres, reflecting the artist's versatility and creativity. Mike D expressed his hope that the album will be a source of fun for listeners without taking itself too seriously, especially in a world that he considers "strange, dark and fixated on power", where values such as art, feelings, compassion, empathy and equality seem to be increasingly devalued. Before the official release, Mike D has already performed some songs from the album in shows across Europe and the United Kingdom, including a special performance at the Primavera Sound festival in Porto. Fans can now check out the singles "Switch Up", "What We Got" and "True Colors", which anticipate the festive and diverse atmosphere of the new work. Mike D's solo tour represents an important milestone in his career, highlighting his evolution as an independent artist and his commitment to continuing to innovate and connect with audiences. Expectations are high for these shows that promise not only to revisit the energy of the Beastie Boys, but also to present a new phase in the musician's trajectory.
