BB expects to receive R$850 million in credit proposals at the Bahia Farm Show

Banco do Brasil (BB) expects to receive R$850 million in financing proposals during the 20th edition of the Bahia Farm Show, which takes place in Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA) until the 13th.

According to the bank, the expectation is to serve producers of different profiles, from family farmers to medium and large producers, with lines focused on the acquisition of machines, storage and investments in technology.

Among the products highlighted by BB are rural credit lines such as Moderfrota, Pronamp Investimento, Inovagro and Pronaf Mais Alimentos, aimed at the purchase of tractors, harvesters, agricultural implements and modernization of properties.

The institution also reported that it has resources to finance silos and warehouses through the PCA (Program for Construction and Expansion of Warehouses), in addition to investments linked to the recovery of pastures, implementation of direct planting and technologies aimed at productive efficiency.

The bank's expectations are reinforced by the moment the sector is experiencing. During the opening of the fair, the federal government announced a new line of R$14 billion for financing agricultural machinery and implements, expanding the supply of credit in a period marked by high interest rates and demand from producers for more favorable financing conditions.

According to the director of Agribusiness and Family Farming at Banco do Brasil, Alberto Martinhago, the institution's strategy is to offer lines suited to the profile of each producer and expand access to rural credit.

In family farming, interest rates start at 3% per year, while for medium and large producers financing starts at 8% per year. Terms can reach 12 years, with up to a three-year grace period for investments.

The Bahia Farm Show continues until Saturday (13) and brings together machine manufacturers, financial institutions, technology companies and producers from across the country in one of the main showcases of Brazilian agribusiness.
